The Task Force was created for the purpose of conducting multi-jurisdictional investigations; tracking and disrupting the illicit commerce of stolen goods; and investigating and prosecuting suspects engaged in white collar crime, organized crime, and fraud against the government. The Task Force's areas of responsibility have evolved into the following categories:
