The Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force  - Satellite Office

One of the goals of the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force is to expand its operation and services to outlying areas.   The establishment of the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force's Satellite Office was a movement toward that goal.

The Satellite Office was first established in June of 2001.  It is currently supervised by a Sergeant from Modesto Police Department.  Thanks to a generous donation of a building by the City of Turlock and Turlock Police Services, the Satellite Office has office space and a forensic lab for its staff.

Since opening its doors, the Satellite Office has handled several hundred cases involving high technology crimes, identity theft, and Internet crimes against children.  In doing so, the Satellite Office has assisted numerous federal, state, and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies.
