About Us History of the Task Force
|
The Task Force operates under three different types of agreements -- the Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force Memorandum of Understanding, the Identity Theft Task Force Memorandum of Understanding, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Memorandum of Understanding. Task Force operations are supported through grant funding as well as personnel contributions from participating agencies. In March 1999, the Task Force became the recipient of grant funds and support from the Governor's Office of Criminal Justice Planning via the High Technology Theft Apprehension and Prosecution Program (SB 1734-Johnston). Currently, the grant provides $1.9 million annually. |
